In my work I try to express a boldness and urgency to Seize the Day “Carpe Diem”. Major influences on my
work are my life experiences of 55+ years (including surviving cancer), a passion for sport and the “pushing
the envelope style of the Master Artist - Pablo Picasso and the Master Guitarist - Jimi Hendrix. As well, on my
mind is a quote from one of my teachers: Professor Ira Richer –“To make art, you have to take a risk”.
This resounds with me as I have also been a hockey coach for 35+ years
and during the course of competition  in order to gain a victory  , the players “have to take a risk”.
