Missed the April meeting?...
Tybre Newcomber gave his presentation of "cold
finishing" to an enthusiastic HRP gathering of 20
members. He demonstrated the use of glass etching
cream, embossing powder, gold leaf and rust
finishes. Worth the price of admission were his
recommendations for diamond abrasive pads for
sanding finished products and the use of hollow kiln
shelves for large tiles.

| Missed our May meeting? George Davison wowed us with images of his unique totem-like sculptures with very expressive values. He has even incorporated tar and feathers in his work. His hand built tea bowls are raku with terra sigillata resulting in a very organic look. He adds handbuilt foot rings textured with branches. We were all mesmorized beyond 9 pm!! |
