EXTRUSIONS AND IMPRESSIONS IN CLAY”
Clay extrusions are stretched, pulled, twisted, indented and
assembled. The forms evolve, towards a sculptural expres-
sion of inner feelings. Boundaries emerge, creating tension
and release as the work progresses. The objects are then
put together to create a dynamic sculpture that maximizes
the interactions between the organic shapes, geometric
forms and symbols. Glazing and firing provide the details
and final elements that communicate the essence of the
work. Manipulating clay and constructing the pieces con-
stantly provide discoveries, pleasures and challenges.

for the idea only exists by virtue of the form”
